Project Development Institute No. 1 has contributed much to the design of residential-building industrial complexes, not only creating the base for the construction industry, but integrating progressive structures for standard public and residential construction both at the time of their erection, and in their further production. DSK No. 5 in Kolpino, Leningrad Region, was one the basic design projects in 1960–1961. The industrial complex, launched in 1962, has been geared towards the construction of residential buildings, kindergartens and schools since the 1970s. Today, DSK No. 5 produces reinforced-concrete items for large-scale buildings and reinforced-concrete structures.
