The Barnaul tire plant was erected by the early 1960s. It was a rigorous komsomol-type construction project - implementation of design work was a top priority for Project Development Institute No. 1. When designing the first tire plants, Institute specialists resolved many complex tasks, especially related to heating and ventilation. Today, the Altai industrial tire complex ranks second nationwide in terms of agricultural-tire production volume and third with respect to truck-tire production output.
