In 1958, the Rezinoproekt branch institute considered over twelve major rubber technical-goods plants whose design was to be assigned to Project Development Institute No. 1. Tambov plant was among them. With respect to most of the plants, the Institute proceeded from the standpoint of site selection. Today, the enterprise forms part of the ARTI Group of Companies, whose product consumers include the RF Ministry of Defense, the RF Ministry for Civil Defense, Rissian Railways OJSC, the RF Ministry of Transportation and other companies based in Russia and the near abroad.
